Vegetation Removal Application
Residents may request the removal of vegetation within Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District (MRGCD) rights-of-way. All requests must meet MRGCD criteria for request approval. Typical processing period is 3-6 months.
Terms & Conditions
By submitting your application, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions of the Middle
Rio Grande Conservancy District (MRGCD):
- You understand that application submission does not guarantee request approval.
- You have read and understand NM State Statute §73-2-10:
- You understand that the MRGCD does not always own the land through which ditches and acequias run.
- You understand that you have the right to exercise self-help and trim vegetation overhanging your property line at the property line.
- You understand that the MRGCD will not trim or remove vegetation from private property.
- You understand you am not permitted to remove vegetation on MRGCD property without written approval and consent of the MRGCD.
