License

Application for a long-term encroachment agreement including serial and buried utilities, culverts, bridges, etc. within MRGCD rights of way. Any proposed installation shall be made pursuant to license stipulations and standard specifications.

Typical processing period 8-12 weeks.

Special Use License

Application for a temporary land use including construction, dewatering, pumping, research, survey, special events or other activities conducted within MRGCD rights-of-way. Any proposed land use shall be conducted per any applicable MRGCD procedures, policies, rules or regulations.

Typical processing period 1-2 weeks.

Traffic Gates

Application for the installation of traffic gates on MRGCD canals, drains, laterals, acequias. The MRGCD may permit the installation of gates pursuant to MRGCD Rule 28 Gate Request Policy.

Typical processing period 3-6 months.

Vegetation Removal

Application for trimming and removal of trees/vegetation within MRGCD rights-of-way. The MRGCD will perform a site visit and evaluate removal request pursuant to MRGCD tree removal procedure and applicable state statue.

Typical processing period 3-6 months.

Land Sales

Application to purchase property from the MRGCD. The MRGCD may consider selling excess right-of-way or disposable land pursuant to MRGCD Rule 21 Land Sales Policy. Ongoing title transfer negotiations with the Federal Government is limiting available lands for disposal.
