Special Use License Application
A Special Use License is required for temporary use of Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District (MRGCD)
rights-of-way for construction, pumping (in/out), research, commercial boating, filming, special events, and
special activities. Typical processing time is 1-2 weeks.
Please note contractors making installations of licensed infrastructure are required to obtain a special use license.
Application Requirements
Standard Application Requirements:
- Complete application
- Letter of Request
- Vicinity Map
- Fees (fee schedule varies based on request)
- Certificate of Insurance with MRGCD as additionally insured
Additional documentation may be required, depending on request type:
- W-9 for refund (if refund is applicable)
- Project plans or drawings (if applicable)
- Proof of non-profit status (if applicable)
- Traffic Control Plan (if applicable)
- Participant Waiver to Indemnify and Release MRGCD (boating and special events only)
